Do androids dream of electric sheep?
You had better bet they do. The now-classic book and it's silver screen adaptation, like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, seem to have made a fairly accurate prediction about how we will live in the future.

I'm sure you've all seen the pathetic little AiBO robot dogs, or the slightly more impressive RoboSapien. But there are more impressive things to see here. For instance did you know that our new robot freinds have mastered the art of Traditional Dance ? Once they are dancing, everyone knows it only takes a few drinks to start a fight . From there it's never long before there's an all out brawl .

Everyone knows that we need to make robots to do our work for us so that we can live in a tranquil state of never ending leisure, being served by our always faithful, never traitorous servants. But what if we need companions? Or to assuage our guilt at having driven some species to extinction? Well, we have the technology (insert the sound from the "Million dollar Man" here), we can rebuild it. Would anyone like a robotic goldfish ? They swim quite realistically! And I'm sure they make a great no maintainance pet.
